A Jashan is a Thanksgiving ceremony. There are numerous reasons to perform a Jashan.
A Jashan ceremony is performed for the well-being of both the spiritual and physical worlds.
We thank Ahura Mazda and Amesha Spentas and pray for their blessings from the spiritual world.
Jashan significance
A Jashan is a thanksgiving ceremony performed by 2 or more priests. All seven creations of Ahura Mazda are represented in a Jashan ceremony.

Represented by the metallic implements used in the ceremony, like afarganyu and chipiyo and chamach

Represented by the ground on which the ceremony is performed.

Represented by the priests and all the people attending.

A pitcher containing water is present for the Jashan ceremony.
