WZCC Boston
Meeting: June 29th, 2 to 4pm
Dear Friends,
It has been far too
long since we had our last meeting in the Fall. I take responsibility for this
delay, since we had a lot going on (3 months in India, more travel and moving),
that did not allow me to plan this earlier. We have also been trying to find
times when most people's calendar's and locations would work, and that was not
easy.
We ARE having our next meeting on Sunday the 29th of June from 2 to
4pm at my our apartment in Winchester (though not yet quite settled in!). This
will be an informal Tea Meeting (we promise you good samosas, among other
things). The meeting will be free for members, and $5 contribution to WZCC from
others.
After the meeting, I would like to suggest that if people are
interested, we can go for a walk round beautiful Horn Pond, that is close to our
place. Then we can all go for dinner to a great Chinese restaurant in town
(China Sky), that has great food at very reasonable prices. This will be purely
social time and family and children would be welcome to join us for the walk and
dinner.
However, we wanted to really focus the meeting on helping
individual members and other attendees:
- To
get to know each other's professional and business current status
- To
understand their needs and see how we might be able to help/refer one
another
To
understand one another's professional aspirations and be of assistance, if
possible
To
brainstorm ideas about how this group could best benefit all the members
We
would like to keep the atmosphere very informal, but to have a structured
process for sharing.
We hope you will come, so we can begin forming a Z.
community of business and professional people who understand one another's work
and attempt to be of assistance to one another. We hope you will come even if
you are a student and would like mentoring and career direction, and also if you
are a senior and successful professional, so that you can inspire and be of help
and guidance to others---even if you are retired. We know how busy everyone is,
but I hope you will give of your time at least for these two hours on a Sunday.
We promise to make it worthwhile for you.
Please rsvp to me or Dilnavaz
Shroff <shroff_d@yahoo.com> by Thursday the 26th, the latest, and do let us know
if you will come only for the meeting or join us for the walk and dinner as
well.
We shall look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Zareen
