ZAGBA NOROOZ / NAVROZE EVENT 2010

DATE: Saturday, March 20th, 2010

TIME: 6 pm - 11 pm

LOCATION: St. Michael Parish, 90 Concord Rd, Bedford, MA 01730. The parking lot and the Parish Center are to the rear of the church, accessible via the driveway alongside the church.

(Please note: THIS IS A NEW LOCATION for a ZAGBA event and NOT the same locations in Bedford that we have been using for functions or children’s religious education classes/25^th Anniversary meetings.)

AGENDA: ZAGBA’s New Board for 2010-2012, Financial Update, Committee Updates, Children’s Religious Education Class Giving Project, Line Dancing and Dinner

MENU: We are having a very traditional Parsi menu of Pullav (Rice) with Goat meat, Masala Dar (Spicy lentils), Salli Marghi (Chicken with potato straws) and Lagan nu Stew (flavorful vegetable stew). Dessert will be Sev (Sweet Vermicelli) and Mithu Dahi (Sweet Yogurt). There will be pizza, snacks and ice cream for kids. Please indicate in your RSVP if you are vegetarian.

ENTERTAINMENT: On the heels of last year’s very successful Square Dancing event, this year we will expand our dancing repertoire with more types of Line Dancing. We have professional callers who will help us become better dancers while having a great time! Wear comfortable shoes!

Advance payment for the Norooz/navroze EVENT:

Adults (2010-2011 Members & their out-of-town guests): $35

Adults (Non-Members): $45

Seniors (2010-2011 Members): $20

Full-time Students (2010-2011 Members): $20

Kids (5 and above): $15

****($10 more for each category at the door)****

$25 for individual senior (65 years and above) (*new category) (For a couple who are both seniors, please pay $50)

If you are a new member or have any changes in your address, phone, email address, work or family, please print a membership form from the ZAGBA website (www.zagba.org) and mail it in with your membership so that we can keep your information current.

RSVP, EVENT & Membership PAYMENTS:

Please RSVP for this event to zagba@hotmail.com as soon as possible but no later than MONDAY, MARCH 15^th so that we can adequately plan for food and other aspects.

**Please mail your event checks made out to ‘ZAGBA’ to Aspiyan Gazder at 91 Old Billerica Rd., Bedford, MA 01730 postmarked by Monday, March 15^th to receive advance rates along with a note with details of number of people in the categories.

**Please also mail in your 2010-2011 MEMBERSHIP DUES on a separate check to receive the member rates for this March 20^th event and onward.

DONATIONS

If you would like to make a donation to help defray the costs for those who may be on a limited income (i.e. students, unemployed) please include your donation in your event check. Your donation is tax deductible, while your membership and event costs are not.

If you would like to request financial assistance for attending the event, please send an email to one of the board members with subject heading: Navroze event assistance. Your requests will be kept confidential. We would like to have everyone who would like to attend be able to attend.
